Certified Management Consultant,
Dick Morgan has more than 50 years of multi-functional line management experience. In addition, he is a Certified Management Consultant (CMC) and a Fellow (FIMC) of the Institute of Management Consultants. He founded his consulting firm in early 1989.
As Senior Vice President Marketing, he led the revenue growth of Long Mile Rubber Company from $17 million to more than $100 million (against stiff competition) during fifteen years with that firm. Dick was actively involved in strategic planning and general management. Preparation of business plans, acquisition studies, and two LBO opportunities added depth.
Earlier, Dick was responsible for all commercial marketing efforts in New England for Mobil Oil Corporation. In prior positions, he directed Mobil’s U.S. general aviation marketing program from Mobil’s NYC headquarters, and was a highly successful marketing representative in California.
Dick is a native Texan, but widely traveled…having lived in or near San Diego, Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York City, Boston, and now back to Dallas. He married Doris, his high school sweetheart, in California 55 years ago. He has two married daughters and two teenage grandsons.
When he is not working with clients, Dick enjoys family activities, amateur radio, bridge games, attending local theater productions, and enhancing his understanding of wine…California wines in particular. Dick is an amateur radio operator (K6RAH) and holds the FCC’s highest amateur radio license designation, “Amateur Extra Class.” He was the 2012 and 2014 president of the Richardson Wireless Klub K5RWK and he edits the club’s newsletter.
Dick is an avid reader. In addition to business-related books, he enjoys biographies, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, W.E.B. Griffin, Tony Hillerman, Lee Childs, Daniel Silva, Vince Flynn, and especially 18th and 19th century naval history and naval fiction.
Dick graduated with honors in business administration from California State Polytechnic University and also holds an A.A. in engineering from Fullerton College. He was educated in advanced marketing and management techniques, and as a lubrication engineer by Mobil Oil. Dick received a certificate in marketing planning from S.M.U. He administered P.S.S. and coached sales and management personnel using Xerox Learning Systems “Professional Selling Skills.” He is also a licensed real estate broker in Texas.
His marketing and business management articles appear nationally in Modern Tire Dealer magazine and other publications.
Dick Morgan is the author of “Marketing Facets, The Market-focused Guide to Company Analysis,” a practical resource for those involved in determining the current health of a company and gauging its future prospects. (click on Marketing Facets for more information.)

Morgan also supports Challenge Air, a national charitable organization that provides life-changing experiences to physically challenged and special needs children and youth through aviation. These young ‘co-pilots’ are encouraged to actually take the controls and fly the plane! Kids are empowered to look beyond their limitations, to demonstrate new abilities and experience real achievement.
Dick speaks on marketing and management topics at industry conferences and for local business organizations. He also facilitates IMC-DFW Consultant’s Workshops on marketing and communications topics.
