2009Today's
financial chaos demands that anyone with assets and investments
understand what is really taking place. When and how you respond will determine
your relative position when the turnaround begins. Below, I recommend a
FREE source of reliable economic information that includes analysis of the raw
data and implications for the future. I am not a client of First Trust Advisors
L.P. but I have found their reports to be very valuable. I believe you will find
them helpful too.

Marketing Facets - The Market Focused Guide to Company Analysis
A free source of reliable economic facts and analysis
Where
do you go to find factual economic information and analysis these days?
Daily newspapers feed government data in disconnected bits that often
follow hysterical headlines. The same can be said for television's news reports
and talking heads. They feed you raw statistics that present partial
perspectives. Disjointed facts and figures can lead to public misconceptions and
near panic by the majority of folks who never took Economics 101. My minor
was economics and I continue to have a strong interest in the
subject.
More
reliable, I find, are the frequent reports from First Trust Advisors L.P.
Brian Wesbury is their Chief Economist. Mr. Wesbury also appears as a guest on
some cable business shows such as CNN and Bloomberg. His articles also appear
periodically in The Wall Street Journal.
I started receiving economic news and commentary from Mr. Wesbury several years ago. He presents current facts and statistics from all of the national sources as released. The difference is that Brian Wesbury puts newly-released facts with other related statistics and discusses the implications of all those facts and figures. The analysis is thorough, not just thirty-second sound bites or short tidbits of data. For example, as financial and employment figures dropped, Mr. Wesbury made it clear that the "velocity" of money flow in our system had slowed dramatically. The Federal Reserve quickly made massive amounts of new funds available to maintain America's liquidity. The Fed's move was in stark contrast to the drying up of the money supply during the Great Depression. Once the panic recedes and velocity again increases, much of that influx of money must be reabsorbed by the Fed if we are to avoid high inflation.
Mr. Wesbury provides a much more complete picture of current economic happenings than you will gain from the general media or Sunday pundits. You cannot rely on national politicians either. They only present facts that support their particular point of view, and they may also be some of the prime culprits behind our present financial chaos! I recommend that you sign up for a free subscription to the First Trust Advisors L.P. research and regular data watch reports. A more complete perspective will help you determine steps you may need to take to protect yourself, your family, and your personal assets.

Marketing Facets - The Market-focused Guide to Company Analysis
Should a salesperson's birth date be an important fact for a company acquirer to know? Could extended product warranties create a competitive advantage? How does the company forecast sales? What are the backgrounds and capabilities of the firm's key managers? Answers to these and a vast array of other in-depth questions receive attention in Marketing Facets.
Marketing Facets is a practical resource for those involved in determining the current health of a company and gauging its future prospects. Marketing Facets is a 103-page guidebook, and a supplement to other evaluation procedures and information normally gathered during a thorough due diligence or business valuation process. The workbook takes a holistic approach, assembling facts and management assumptions in key areas to help the analyst form and support conclusions.
Marketing Facets is a valuable resource to private investment fund managers, individual investors, venture capital specialists, investment banks, and valuation specialists. Marketing Facets is also a guide for C-level executives who wish to perform their own company analysis as part of normal business planning, or in advance of efforts to refinance, acquire or divest.
Marketing Facets is available in electronic form via the Internet, on CD/ROM, or in print with a ring binder.2. Economists predict the year ahead may reward
hard workers; a frightening outlook for so many these
days!
3. We
need fewer economists and more economizers!
4. Economists tell you what to do with your money after you've done
something else with it.
5. An economist just wrote the short story of
money: "Here it is - there it goes."
6. Some experts say our economy has bottomed out. We can tell that by the rips in the seats of our pants.
7. What is wrong with our economy is that there isn't any within our government anymore!
8. We never knew what real extravagance was until we had this so-called planned economy!
$ Million Marketing Tips
Facts about wine...
A client
speaks: “Dick helped to increase the revenue of my
previous business from $10 million to $18 million during the three years we
collaborated. Even better, he enhanced the final sales price of my business by
100 percent. Dick’s introduction of strategic planning, action plans, and
implementation support was the point where our planning took on a professional
approach. Operations, marketing, finance, and personnel all were beneficiaries
of the counsel and processes he provided.”

P.S. Ninety-five percent of our engagements originate as a referral from helpful people like you!
I would appreciate the opportunity to discuss the situation with you.
Our ideal client
is a business owner or CEO between 30 and 60+ years old. Usually with a financial, engineering, or production background. Who is often impatient, and interested in improving company performance. Comes alive when you ask, "How's business?" He, or she, is practical but also enjoys the finer things in life. So, you may see my ideal client driving a Lexus, BMW, or SUV to Neiman Marcus...and to Sam's Club. Who do you know that fits this description?
