Residential Construction:

Currently developing and implementing a formal business improvement plan with a mid-size residential developer in North Texas. Assisting the owner in team development for rapid growth in 2014, formal business planning and budgeting, along with action plans to correct or improve several areas that our survey of homeowners recently identified.

Tire and Lube Centers:

Implemented an aggressive profit improvement plan developed in concert with the owner and his management team in June 2011. This six-location Midwest firm immediately began to experience more positive results from action plans designed to rebalance operations, improve marketing effectiveness, and put more dollars on the bottom line.  

Customer Relationship Intelligence          

        Providing sales and marketing assistance, as a board member, to commercialize a patented relationship-building process for complex
        B2B sales within large corporations. 
The firm offers breakthrough metrics that tie relationship value to real-time business results and
        long-term profitability.

Financial Planning:

Implemented an expanded marketing effort developed for a Dallas-based firm engaged in estate planning, insurance, investments, and employee benefits. 

Commercial Tire Distribution:

Working with the owner and his management team to develop and implement an extensive profit improvement program for this 6 location commercial tire and retreading company in the Midwest. Assistance includes business planning, financial analysis of operations, coaching, negotiations with banks and suppliers, development and branding of new marketing programs, and personnel evaluations.

Rubber Industry:

Provided U.S. distribution channels, advertising and other business support to PRE-Q Rubber Ltd.  Supplied general business assistance during the transition from indirect distribution to direct sales of rubber products from Central Mexico. 

Auto Restyling:

Completed a year-end financial reviews for a vehicle restyling company. Provided periodic marketing and management assistance to a retiring owner. 

Computer Support:

Provided marketing and sales assistance to Data Applications Corp., a firm supplying desktop computing support, document imaging, and network support to large government, education, medical, and private organizations in Texas. 

CAD and CAD Software:

Assisted the management team with action plan implementation as the firm provided CAD services and developed and commercialized highly specialized 3D residential plan software. 

Wheel Repair:

Provided monthly marketing and management counsel to a growing vehicle wheel repair operation. Also assisted with the introduction of their powder coating system. 

Medical and Surgical:

Conducted a telephone survey of patient satisfaction for a prominent plastic surgeon. Validated a high level of patient satisfaction and developed potential market positioning options for future growth of the practice. 

Public Warehousing:

Worked with the owner to develop a more effective marketing effort. Coached owner on specific opportunities to achieve a higher success ratio on new business proposals. Helped to upgrade the firm’s web site and establish a company e-mail newsletter. Acted as a ‘sounding board’ for the owner’s ideas and helped to arrange priorities. 

Rubber Recycling:

Conducted initial market research on a patented process for devulcanizing rubber scrap. Secondary research plus primary marketing contacts with rubber products manufacturers to help gain acceptance and potential licensees. 

Office Equipment:

Worked with a full-line distributor of office equipment and supplies to accelerate sales growth and enhance profitability. Diagnosed present situation and helped to establish and implement immediate improvement action steps for the father/son management team. 

Business Services:

Wrote and edited of articles and white papers to address issues in multiple industry segments for an international management consulting firm. 

Building Products Manufacturing:

Developed a three-hour negotiating skills workshop plus role play cases for a nationally prominent firm’s sales personnel. Facilitated periodic workshop sessions in collaboration with the client’s Director of Training & Development. 

Hardware & Plumbing Fixture Distribution:

Facilitated a three-day business planning retreat with a hardware distributor in North Texas. Helped the management team develop their first operational business plan. Engaged to assist the owners and team with timely implementation of their specific action plans. Provided additional assistance to owners on other business-related matters.

Tire and Wheel Distribution:

Engaged to provide succession assistance to a commercial and retail tire company. Developed written job descriptions for key individuals. Prepared individual performance criteria and methods for appraisal. Analyzed existing compensation plans and prepared recommendations for changes in compensation and ownership succession in cooperation with the firm’s estate planners. Mentored three family members individually and collectively.
